Gyrofluid Tokamak simulation

The FELTOR code, developed by Matthias Wiesenberger and Markus Held, is based on our vorticity, kinetic energy, and enstrophy conserving discontinuous Galerkin scheme . To resolve the Tokamak geometry we have developed a streamline based grid generator that can even handle the X-point. The code can make use of distributed memory systems as well as GPUs and allows for reproducible results. The design decisions and the architecture of the code is discussed here.
